TVS Akula 310 is a sports bike which has first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. The bike draw a lot of attention when it was first announced. Since it was first unveiled, many people including myself, have been anxiously waiting for its launch. Now, it seems like that is going to happen very soon now. TVS Akula 310 launch date has been set for February/March 2017.
According to India.com, TVS has now confirmed that the TVS Akula 310 launch date is somewhere around February or March 2017. SG Murali, CFO of TVS Motors was quoted saying, “We will launch the first product (from TVS-BMW collaboration) by February or March 2017.”

What makes the TVS Akula 310 launch date interesting is the fact that the bike shares its engine with the BMW G310R. BMW partnered with TVS for making that bike in India. BMW Motorrad is one of the most reputed names in the biking community.
If a bike is rolled out which has been made in contribution with BMW, it is bound to become the centre of attention. Moreover, the bike will be made in TVS’s Hosur plant in India which will make sure that the bike is priced competitively and is within the range of the masses.

An engine made by BMW and put inside a carbon fibre body. If that does not intimidate you, I cannot think of any other thing which will. As a matter of fact, TVS Akula 310 will be the first resultant bike of the tie-up between TVS and BMW Motorrad.

TVS Akula 310 will be the first bike by TVS with a full fairing. It is expected to be priced aggressively a bit over the Rs.2 lakh mark. The concept bike is now finally entering the production stage. There is a possibility that it might be launched under the already popular “Apache” branding in India.
Talking about its specifications, it will offer a single cylinder engine with a displacement of 310cc. It could flaunt the maximum power level of 33.6 BHP at 9500rpm (rotations per minute). The maximum torque will be 28 NM at 7500 rpm. It will come 6 gears; 1 down, 5 up and will weigh as little as 130 kilogrammes.
