Since the Note 7 debacle, Samsung has been facing a really hard time in regaining the trust of its customers. Their profits are plunging to an all-time low, sales have been hit drastically and whatnot. To turn things around, they are gearing up to launch the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017).
Specifications of Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017 edition)
Let us have a brief look at the specification of the Samsung Galaxy A7.
- First of all, it is going to sport a full Full HD display. The size is not clear as there are two separate leaks. One leak suggests that the screen size will be 5.5-inches while the other one suggests that it will be 5.7-inches.
- It will be powered by an octa-core Exynos 7870 clocked at 1.8 GHz and paired with Mali T830 graphic processor.
- On the camera front, it will offer 16 MP lenses on both the sides.
- Storage is another confusing area where different leaks are giving different suggestions. Some suggest it will come with 3 GB RAM + 64 GB ROM combo, while other suggests that a 4 GB variant will be launched which will be limited to China whereas the international variant will offer 3 GB RAM with 32/128 ROM options.
- The phone will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with TouchWiz out of the box. Shortly after the launch, the Android 7.0 Nougat update will be rolled out.

- All the communication fronts will be covered including Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and Micro USB.
- The Galaxy A7 will come along with fast charging.
- Unfortunately, there is no word on the size of the battery yet.

Last month, a smartphone bearing the model number SM-A720X appeared on GFXBench which everyone thought was the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017). The reason behind this was that the 2016 variant of the same had the model number SM-A710X. Check the image below.
Today, AnTuTu has listed SM-A720F which it is calling the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017). There are some variations in the details of the two listings. However, we do get an idea of the phone. Take a look at the image here.
The interesting part of this phone is going to be its camera. It will be having a 16+16 MP combo which will is music to the ears of many selfie lovers. Samsung earlier announced that now it will be launching all phones with 4G VoLTE support and the same could be expected from the Galaxy A7. Also, the 2016 variant had a metal body and the same will be on the upcoming phone.
