Director Pierre Coffin will be back, behind the camera to direct the movie. He has previously directed the first two installments of Despicable Me. Pierre is assisted by Kyle Balda (Minions) and Eric Guillon as co-directors. Eric is the character designer of Despicable Me franchise. Moreover, few new characters will be making an on-screen presence. Screenwriters Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul are returning for the third installment. The newly released Despicable Me 3 trailer will showcase Gru’s twin brother Dru.
Gru’s long-lost twin brother returns
Few scenes from Despicable Me 3 trailer describe the plot. This time, “Gru faces off against the notorious Balthazar Bratt, a former child star turned criminal who grows up to become obsessed with the character he played in the ’80s; and gets into some sibling rivalry when he meets his long-lost twin brother, Dru.” Nonetheless, the biggest risk comes in Gru’s life comes, when his long lost twin brother returns. Unlike Gru, he has a good deal of hairs.
Balthazar Bratt is just goofy villain
After releasing Despicable Me 3 trailer on the web. Illumination will premiere the trailer in theaters soon. The trailer may be released during the screening of musical animated film Sing. The movie will release this month. Meanwhile, Gru and minions have become so familiar characters that fans want them on screen, sooner than later. The new trailer introduces Balthazar (Trey Parker) in a comic villain character. He looks like 80’s Rubik Cube and dances to the pop tunes of Michael Jackson’s ‘Bad’.
Movie will again see the hordes of Gru’s family
Besides this, Lucy Wilde (Kirsten Wig) wife of Gru (Steve Carell) will also be seen. The duo will team up together during their new adventure. Lucy debuted in Despicable Me 2. Fans will witness the fusion of comedy and action in 80’s style with minions. They were featured at trailer’s end. This time the movie may again serve as the personal comedy drama. In the earlier two films, the story was around Gru and his reluctance to adopt children. The second one featured around Gru’s efforts to find a mother, for his three adopted daughters.
The formula is same for the third installment. Yes, there was no scene of Dru (twin brother of Gru) in the Despicable Me 3 trailer. Still, the movie will revolve in that scenario. What is more, the minions may make a starstruck entry to astonish the fans.
Despicable Me 3 will debut in theaters on June 30, 2017.
