The company has revealed that the new rules are extensive. She also added that, “We hope starting this application process brings in people who actually want to find high-quality accounts to follow and influencers to be able to connect with a like-minded audience.”
What you need in order to apply?
To be able to do the Google Twitter verification, you can apply for a verified account when you have all of the following:
- A confirmed email address
- A verified phone number
- A profile picture
- A bio
- A website
- A birthday
Where do I go to apply?
You will need to log in your Twitter account and then request Twitter to verify your account. However, you will want to know that not every request will be granted a blue tick. The company has said that it will prioritize those with a “public interest”. “We may request you to scan and upload a legible copy of your government-issued ID (which can be a driver’s license or passport) to confirm your identity,” said the company.

Luckily no as you can always reapply, but will need to wait for more than 30 days before doing so.
