On November 15, OnePlus introduced its latest flagship in the form of OnePlus 3T. It was an upgraded version of the OnePlus 3 which was launched earlier in June this year and offered some hardware upgrades. Now, it seems like OnePlus 3T launch in India is going to happen very soon.
OnePlus 3T launch in India
Vikas, a staff member of OnePlus, announced on the OnePlus Forum that the company was all geared up to launch the OnePlus 3T in India. The exact launch date will be revealed after a round of ‘ask me anything’ which will be a part of the ‘Truth or Dare’ poll which will be held on the OnePlus India Facebook page.
The post also mentions that the OnePlus 3 is the highest rated smartphone on Amazon India. It also said that the reason they are doing this is because they know that India is an important market and has a huge user base here. Many Indians are very active on their forums as well.
What else?
Let us have a quick look at OnePlus 3T’s specifications, shall we? First of all, it has the same display as the OnePlus 3 has. Both of them have a 5.5-inch AMOLED Full HD display with a pixel density of 401ppi. OnePlus 3T comes with Snapdragon 821 clocked at 2.35GHz which is an upgrade from Snapdragon 820 clocked at 2.15GHz found on the OnePlus 3.

Both the phones offer 6GB LPDDR4 RAM. While the OP3 comes only in 64GB variant, OP3T offers 64GB and 128GB variants. The front camera on the OP3T has been upgraded from 8MP on the outgoing variant to an impressive 16MP.
Another key upgrade involves the battery. The battery capacity on the OP3 was 3000mAh which has now become 3400mAh. It still supports fast charging in the form of OnePlus’s Dash Charge.

Apart from this, everything else is still the same. Even the dimensions and weight are the same. This makes me wonder how was OnePlus able to squeeze in a bigger cell in exactly the same frame as that of OnePlus 3?
What will happen to OnePlus 3 after OnePlus 3T launch in India? Will it be discontinued just like the US and Europe? Or will it be sold at a reduced price?
