S8 Bezel-less Display :- Samsung is going to launch its next flagship phone, the Galaxy S8, at the Mobile World Congress, 2017. According to the latest reports, the upcoming S8 will be featuring a 6.2-inch bezel-less display. It seems like every company is going to launch a phone with bezel-less display. This can be attributed to the Xiaomi Mi Mix.
More about the S8 bezel-less display
The reports suggest that not only Samsung is going to increase the size of the upcoming S8 phones, one of the variants will also feature a bezel-less display. The standard variant will measure 5.7-inches while the second (and supposedly bezel-less) will measure 6.2-inches. Smaller one might have a 2K resolution while the bigger one could flaunt a 4K display.

If the reports are to be believed, then the decision to roll out the roll out bigger variants then the predecessor has been taken in light of the recent Note 7 debacle. Samsung wants to regain the Note 7 customers – those who had to return the devices and those who could not get their hands on one of the devices.
Edge-to-Edge Display in, Plain display out
Further, report says that Samsung will ditch the standard variant this time. Both the variants will offer curved edge-to-edge display, just like the S7 Edge. However, the larger bezel-less sibling will offer more than 90% body-to-screen ratio.
Since both the screens will be same, there will be a change of name. The former ‘Edge’ name will have to go and could be replaced by ‘Plus’. Talks are still going on as to what the new name should be. However, the smaller variant will be named S8 only.
