CM Arvind Kejriwal:: Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal while addressing a gathering at Uttam Nagar said the civic bodies were full of corruption and councillors were pocketing funds.
“Before the polls, BJP and Congress councillors used to roam around on cycles and scooters. Now, each councillor has five bungalows and five cars each. Once we win in MCD, in one year, we will make Delhi so spick and span that you will compare it with London,” he said.
Kejriwal attacked BJP and Congress for spreading corruption
He projected his fight with the Centre as a struggle to make way for projects for the “aam aadmi”. Kejriwal launched a scathing attack on BJP in the municipal corporations and Congress, which was in power in Delhi government thrice under Sheila Dikshit.
Kejriwal said that his government was helpless regarding sanitation as this is the primary responsibility of the corporations.

He also attacked on the BJP saying, “The BJP has ruled Madhya Pradesh for the last 10 years and Chhattisgarh for the last 15 years. The amount of work we have done in two years, they could not have done in 10 or 15 years.”
“The last time people of Delhi gave us a historic 67 out of 70 seats in assembly polls. Now, in the civic polls, give AAP all 272 wards to weed out corruption in the corporations. If AAP gets control, I promise to clean up Delhi like never before,” Kejriwal said.
Talking about the development works of the AAP government, including portable tap water project at Malviya Nagar, it has also inaugurated a project for laying a sewerage systems in Uttam Nagar and Viakspuri, and a project for laying a trunk sewer line in Patparganj.
